What a great day today! Labor Day weekend is here and the tomatoes in my garden are bursting with flavor only heirloom varieties can deliver. I just picked 9 pounds of brandywine, yellow brandywine and sunbursts for use on our homemade Buratta plate. For those who have not tried fresh Buratte imagine a wonderful cheese truffle made with homemade mozzarella and fresh mascarpone cheese wrapped inside. Mmmm. Anyway, enjoy those tomatoes from your garden or visit your local farmer’s market where they are bound to have a wonderful selection.
